Extra-Curricular Music Activities 2011-2012

I hope your son/daughter enjoys their music making at the Loughborough Endowed Schools; if I or any of my staff can be of assistance to improve their experience please do let us know. We are constantly striving to refine and improve what we offer, but I hope you would agree that the range of opportunities outlined is an impressive one.

Fairfield Aural and Theory
Coach: Mrs S Douglas

Aural tuition is usually recommended by Individual Music Tutors for the duration of the term in which a practical exam is to be taken. Theory tuition is usually required for pupils working towards or at Grade 5, beyond which level they may need to demonstrate successful completion of the Grade 5 theory exam.

Group sessions, for which a charge of £5.19 per session is made, are scheduled to take place at the times indicated below. Pupils’ parents must first complete and hand in to the office an application form; they will then be told the date and time of the first session they should attend. The LES Music School reserves the right not to run classes if there is insufficient take-up.

If other commitments preclude a pupil’s attendance at the relevant group session then they will need to book individual sessions, for which the current rate of instrumental tuition applies.

Aural                   Briggs Room       Wednesdays   12.45pm – 1.15pm

Theory                Briggs Room       Wednesdays   12.15pm – 12.45pm
